Hey Chics!

I am very excited about this post as I've never gotten to experience wall murals until now...

Into the wild - Photowall

In this article, I'll take you through the process of putting up the mural upon arrival to the final look.

I was contacted by PhotoWall to give my honest review of one of their canvases or wall murals (I chose the mural, of course, as I wanted to be EXTRA). PhotoWall is a Wall Mural, Photo Wall Paper, and Canvas company based in Sweden.

First off, ordering the mural was very easy. All I had to do was measure the wall of my choice, and give the dimensions online. Then, it gave me a price quote. From there, I was able to place my order and patiently await the mural's arrival.

I was very excited to get this in the mail, and it only took 2-3 Business Days to arrive! For some reason, I was under the impression that it was going to arrive in the giant tube with the dimensions I gave (boy, was I wrong)! It wasn't until George and I watched the installation video that I then realized they were printed in chunks (DUH)!

We then began prepping for the wall mural application. The video was very informative on how this was supposed to be applied, but I took a different approach: Since I live in an apartment, I wasn't sure if the wall mural adhesive was "Apartment Safe" for my walls. I wouldn't have really cared that much if my walls were strictly flat, but I have Stucco walls, and I didn't want to mess that up (Also, deposit DUH).

I'm sure the original process would have been SO MUCH faster, but I wanted to be cautious, and we didn't have ALL of the tools we needed at first. This project took us about 3 hours (with breaks in between). I also want to give my boyfriend, George, a HUGE shoutout for being the Real MVP and helping out with this project! After hours of doing this, VOILA! My blueberry wall was born!

I really love how it came out once we finished the mural! After a day or so of drying, it still looked great, but you could see the dried bubble spots where I used uneven amounts of adhesive (I didn't apply it evenly as instructed). Overall, I love the mural!

This was definitely a trial and error situation for me; and if I could start over and do the mural EXACTLY as instructed, I totally would because it would literally be PERFECT. I found that it does not take the paint off, and there are safe ways to remove the wall mural and adhesive without messing up your wall. Overall, I love this idea for home improvement/makeovers as it really brings a room to life! I will definitely order more from them again!

I definitely recommend PhotoWall for all of your Mural, Canvas needs as they provide gorgeous stock photos taken by their team, or you can send them your own custom photo for print! Paint your initial!

Paint your initial!

Begin by using the acrylic pain and painting the wooden initial with even strokes until fully covered. Let dry for a few minutes, then repeat on the back side (Don't forget to paint the sides in & out)!!

Spray glue, then sprinkle the glitter evenly!

Spray glue, then sprinkle the glitter evenly!

Once the paint has dried, begin spraying the glue in small sections and sprinkle the glitter evenly amongst the initial. Repeat on the back and the sides. This has to be the messiest process, so make sure to keep the glitter contained (and maybe wear gloves)!!
